2019 Course Dates & Locations Will Be Posted Soon
Parents and caregivers, would you like to feel more confident and have more peaceful families and classrooms?
I understand how it feels to be doing your best to provide quality care while juggling multiple demands. Having taught this course to hundreds of students on three continents, I’ve seen how this course can transform lives — of children and adults.
This course will take your understanding of RIE® principles to an altogether deeper level – beyond what reading and practicing on your own can do.
Our time together will be filled with expert facilitation, group discussion and experientials. We will also view footage of RIE® Certified Parent-Infant Guidance™ classes where you will see RIE® principles in action. As we explore the various facets of Magda Gerber’s Educaring® Approach, you will learn to see infants and toddlers with new eyes.
Topics will include gross motor, fine motor and socio-emotional development of the infant and toddler; respectful caregiving routines; uninterrupted play and the adult’s role during play; designing appropriate environments for play and caregiving; limit setting (the art of if, when and how to intervene); and parenting issues.
This wonderfully rich curriculum is beneficial for both parents and professionals who live or work with infants and toddlers, and is presented in a friendly, informal atmosphere where you’ll be encouraged to ask questions and receive personalized guidance.
Class size is intentionally limited, so early registration is encouraged.
“Through a skillful blend of discussion, reflection, and experiential learning techniques,
Deborah’s warm, gentle and thoughtful manner help each student learn at their own pace.
Her RIE® Foundations™ course changed the way I view not only infant development,
but all human interactions.” — C. Paetzel
